The space is open Monday to Thursday 9.30-9.30 Friday 9.30-8.30 and Saturday to Sunday 9.30-6.30 for classes and membership.
For collecting work the space is open 10-6 Monday to Sunday..
The shop is open 10-6 Wednesday to Saturday, 10-4 Sundays.
Our admin hours are Monday to Friday between 10-5, (not continuously)
However we may contact you outside of these times if it requires us to do so.
The majority of our courses are for beginners.
One off and private sessions are for beginners.
Weekly handbuilding classes are for beginners, but the class will be of mixed ability participants.
Weekly throwing classes need at least one beginners session (one off group or private throwing) before starting the weekly classes.
Weekly classes of hand-building techniques. you will cover two making techniques which include coiling, pinch pots and slab building. You will also be introduced to glazing your work and using decorating slips (coloured clays) to decorate you wares.
Taught weekly classes on the throwing course will be focused on the basic cylinder or bowl forms then progress through trimming bases and turning foot-rings, pulling handles and glazing, though content may vary depending on students' abilities
It takes about 4-8 weeks to fire and glaze pots after a one off or private workshop class.
1-2 weeks after the last of a weekly class session.
We email you to let you know your pots are ready for collection after one off and private workshop.
We can offer a refund or reschedule a class or course 7 days before the class date or a courses first session.
We are unable to offer rescheduling or refunds to one off or private classes with less than 7 days notice of the class or 7 days before the start date or during the block of classes.
Weekly classes do offer 2 sessions exchanges if you inform us of the non-attendance before the first session of all the courses start, missed attendance on the first week can’t be swapped.
We can’t refund or reschedule due to bad weather or illness if the class goes ahead.
Paying for space in our kilns is open to any maker via our kiln use webpage.
We fire to 1000ºC at bisque and 1250ºC at glaze. Prices are per litre (10cm cube).
We can also fire to lustre and transfer temperatures.
We have different gift vouchers.
If you have a physical voucher you need to email us with the date, time and type of session you want to attend, with your details if your email doesn’t make us aware of these details. We will also need the purchasers name to mark it off the voucher spreadsheet.
Digital gift cards, receive a 12 digit code which can be used in the checkout for most products except the private workshops where and link has to be emailed to you to book a session.
Digital PDF vouchers, these vouchers can only be used for private sessions and the voucher code is entered into the redeem coupon section of the checkout (these vouchers are no longer for sale).
