Clay Studio run monthly membership schemes, Full membership and Off peak membership. providing access to a communal work space and processing facilities. Anyone with sufficient experience to work self-directed is welcome to apply. Our aim is to support new and existing ceramicists in furthering their practice, whether for commercial purposes or as a leisure interest.

Pathway to membership course.
A combined course and membership, with 7 weeks of taught session and 2 months of membership sessions.
these will be mixed discipline (throwing & handbuilding) and will cover aspects of pottery that you will need when a member and refine your skills. This course is not suitable for beginners.
what it includes
Access to the studio workspace and facilities from 3 sessions (off peak and Pathway course) or 4 sessions* (full) / 9 or 12 hours a week
Personal storage space (80x30x30cm (off peak) or 75x47x40cm (full and pathway course)
Opportunities to exhibit and sell your work
15 minutes support session/tutorial each month (excluding pathway course)
Pathway course gets access to 4 wheels and handbuildling space during taught sessions, discount on clay and a kiln allowance.
* All member sessions are for a duration of 3 hours and can be booked up to 1 minute in advance on a first-come-first-served basis.
Off peak session times are restricted to 9.30-6.30 Monday to Thursday and 9.30-3.30 Friday.
.Full membership and Pathway course sessions are 9.30-9.30 Monday to Thursday and 9.30-6.30 Friday to Sunday.
what it costs
Rolling contract: Off peak £60 per month or full £95 per month including VAT, with a minimum of 2 months. Paid by Direct Debit.
Pathway course £250 (£125 per month for 2 months), 7 taught sessions included. (designed to feed onto membership)
Kiln use from 60p a litre for bisque to 90p a litre for glaze firings
Please be aware that a notice period of 30 days is required to terminate a rolling contract. Occasionally we may offer discounts or special offers.
